The chassis tells the real story of its capability. Gone are any hints of mere street cruising. The suspension is a serious off-road system, featuring Bilstein shock absorbers to soak up the terrain. Cream steel smoothie wheels wrapped in aggressive Yokohama Geolander tyres - a massive footprint for climbing dunes and gripping rocks. The PRP suspension seats and 5-point race harnesses are essential survival gear. The 6-point roll cage with full engine protection and the front nudge bar with racing spot lights are not for show; they are the exoskeleton of a vehicle built for adventure.

At its heart beats a purpose-built 1600cc twin-port engine, a significant step up from the stock VW, providing the extra torque and power needed to climb dunes and power through silt beds. It's fed by reliable Weber 34 ICT carburettors, chosen for their durability and steady performance in the harsh, variable conditions of the Mexican desert.
